Employment Opportunity
I have decided to begin assisting St. Michael’s Rescue Centre, an orphanage for boys in Murang’a, Kenya, to build their capacity. My plan is to spend 2-3 weeks at St. Michael’s in May 2010, gather first hand knowledge of the operation and their needs, and then develop a strategy on how to help them achieve their goals. In order to accomplish this, I will be leaving my position as Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Livingston County on April 30th.
The Board of Directors has begun a search for my replacement. The Executive Director is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, supervising staff, developing budgets and securing funding from various sources to support the agency’s mission. For more information on the position, click here.
