Justice and Peace Ministry

Catholic Charities is committed to working with parishes to

• support their ministries to the poor and vulnerable
• encourage community engagement
• and educate parishioners about the rich tradition of Catholic social teaching
  We do this by convening parish social ministers on a regular basis, communicating events and information to parish leadership, and providing training and educational programs on public policy matters, Catholic social teaching, and Parish Social Ministry.

Within the service areas of Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes, Catholic Charities of Wayne County, and Catholic Charities of Livingston County Brigit Hurley acts as the Justice and Peace Coordinator.
