VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION
For Catholic Charities of Livingston County
Position Title: Clerical Assistant
Program/Department: Connections
Description of Project/Purpose of Assignment: To maintain correspondence, contacts, and information flow in a timely and systematic manner, in order to promote the Connections Program in a positive fashion. Some record keeping possible.
Outline of Volunteer’s Responsibilities/List of Tasks:
- Keep program correspondence up-to-date
- Send out thank you’s, acknowledgements, etc. in a timely manner
- Handle brochure requests, volunteer requests, etc. by responding within an appropriate time frame.
- Make sure that calendar is kept up to date and followed.
- Distribute program information as requested.
- Other tasks as needed.
Training and Support Plan: Individual training will be given by Director. Manual provided for all volunteers. On-site support system at all times.
Skills/Qualifications Needed for Assignment:
- Organized
- Responsible
- Flexible
- Computer skills necessary.
Time Commitment: 2 – 3 hours, 2 times per month
Location/Geographic Area of Assignment: 51 Main St., Mt. Morris, NY
Outcome/Goals of Assignment: To present the program in a positive, businesslike manner, thereby supporting the growth and increasing the knowledge of the Connections Program.
Reporting required: Task & hour logs
