VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Clothing Cupboard Volunteer
Program/Department: Help*Works
Description of Project/Purpose of Assignment: Help distribute gently used children clothes and maternity clothes to those in need, free of charge.
Outline of Volunteer’s Responsibilities/List of Tasks:
- Make sure that all clients sign in
- Give them a bag to put clothing in
- Sort and put away clothes that have been donated
Training and Support Plan:
- Meeting with Rural Outreach Asst. for information on procedures.
- Staff is on-site & available for questions, information and support.
Skills/Qualifications Needed for Assignment:
- Personable, comfortable interacting with clients and children
- Responsible,
- Punctual
Time Commitment:
· Flexible-2 hours, 1-2 times a month on Tuesdays.
**Clothing Cupboard is open every Tuesday from 1-2:30pm
Location/Geographic Area of Assignment: 10 Chapel St., Mt. Morris
Outcome/Goals of Assignment: To support the mission of Rural Outreach by providing free clothing to those in need, and by presenting a respectful, helpful presence to clients and the community.
Reporting required:
· Maintain accurate client record/sign in book
· Time sheet
