Position Title: Faith in Action Volunteer Assistant
Program/Department: Faith in Action
Description of Project/Purpose of Assignment: To be a support person to the Faith in Action director by assisting with job responsibilities.
Outline of Volunteer’s Responsibilities/List of Tasks: help in office: fielding calls, talking to volunteers and elderly clients, help coordinate transportation requests, possible home visits with clients, assist with fundraising efforts, track volunteer monthly reports in computer database.
*these responsibilities can be flexible, depending on volunteer’s interests and skills
Training and Support Plan: By the Faith in Action director
Skills/Qualifications Needed for Assignment: Organized, reliable, compassionate, good listening & communication skills, computer skills (familiar with Microsoft office applications, including Word and Excel)
Time Commitment: 2 half days per week (morning or afternoon); flexible schedule
Location/Geographic Area of Assignment: 10 Chapel Street, Mt. Morris
Outcome/Goals of Assignment: To be a support person to the Faith in Action director, helping to serve more elderly who need help to be independent in their homes.
Reporting required: Keep monthly volunteer report
