Our volunteers are amazing people, giving their time and effort to so many of our programs. Here are just a few testimonials of their work here at CCLC.
Lynn, Faith In Action volunteer: “I assist Jessica Pierce, Program Director for Faith in Action with various tasks that allows her to use her time and talents for the program. It is very rewarding to be able to contribute by entering data and making phone calls so clients can benefit with transportation needs, friendly visits, and light housekeeping that keep them in their home. On occasion, I have driven clients to their appointments which is a great opportunity to meet someone new and be part of a kinder world which shows compassion to others. Giving time and talent to others is rewarding and fulfilling. One day last month I quickly left the office to get a prescription for a local client who would have normally used her wheelchair to get to store but with the rain, it worked out that I was able to get her very important script in a timely manner.”
Keuka College BSW Interns Casie & Kelsey: “Catholic Charities of Livingston County has been a unique experience for the both of us. We have met some of the most caring people while working with the agency the past few months. Our first task was to collect school supply donations for the children in need throughout Livingston County. We have really enjoyed this experience being out in the community. We both have the greatest feeling of accomplishment because we have collected a whole room of school supplies for the children in need. We are eager to see the excitement on the children’s faces as we help them pick out their preferred school supplies. We feel like we have helped these children towards their success for the upcoming school year.”
