Faith in Action

 

Helping neighbors to maintain an independent lifestyle at home.

Mission:


To provide direct one-on-one assistance to frail elderly and/or health impaired persons within a network of community support.

Faith in Action provides volunteer support services free of charge to those without adequate assistance from family friends, or neighbors.

We also provide information and referrals to the appropriate resources or agencies.

Who do we serve?
Seniors over the age of 65 who live at home

People of any age who are mentally or physically challenged

Those who are homebound, lonely or chronically ill

People newly discharged from the hospital

Families, friends, and caregivers of persons in these situations

Faith in Action Volunteers:


Offer transportation enabling seniors or those who are disabled to meet their medical appointments

Help with errands, such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions

Assist with light housekeeping

Do yard work or minor home repairs

Bring compassionate care through friendly visits or telephone calls to neighbors

Provide short-term respite to family members caring for their frail loved ones
