The goal of the Hispanic Outreach is to assist members of the Hispanic Communities within Livingston County to realize their full potential.
Translation/Interpretation
Spanish translation and interpretation services to area agencies, school, organizations, families and individuals
Advocacy
Advocacy on behalf of individuals and families of Hispanic/Latino origin.
Promoting economic and social justice issues on behalf of the Hispanic/ Latino community.
Promoting appreciation of cultural and ethnic diversity.
Liaison
Liaison between the Hispanic community and area agencies, organizations, schools, businesses and to other service providers
Working with area churches and faith communities of all denominations around issues pertaining to families and individuals of Hispanic/Latino origin
Program Development
Collaborative program development around issues of concern to the Hispanic community
Jail Release Support Program
Counseling services to Hispanic/Latino inmates to assist them with issues related to incarceration
Assistance in preparation for future release
Assistance to inmates and families after release
Quinceanera
The Quinceanera is a special coming of age celebration for Hispanic/Latino girls on their 15th birthday.
Through collaboration with area schools and churches we assist these young women and their families organize their quinceanera.
