Wheels for Work

Wheels for Work provides loans for used vehicles, vehicle repair, registration and insurance assistance, and driver's education to qualified applicants who need transportation so they may keep or accept employment.
Our Program for Working Parents:
Auto Loan Program
Offers low-income applicants who have been consecutively employed by the same employer for 12 months, employed continuously for the past 24 months, or have a bona fide job offer (with established work history), the opportunity to obtain a used vehicle with 0% interest loan, repayable over 12-18 months. All vehicles available through this program are generously donated. They are serviced and repaired to improve reliability and safety before they are made available for approved applicants.
** There is a waiting list for this program with an average wait time of 2-3 months depending on vehicle donations and availability.
Auto Repair & Auto Repair Loan Programs
Offers eligible applicants who are employed financial assistance with vehicle repairs.
Auto Insurance Assistance Program
Offers eligible applicants to maintain or obtain auto insurance.
Registration Assistance Program
Offers applicants assistance with obtaining or maintaining vehicle registration.
Learner’s Permits & Driver’s Instruction Program
Offers eligible applicants assistance with obtaining or maintaining their driver's license.
Minimum Application Requirements:

Livingston County Resident
- Age 18 or Older
- Parent, or expecting first-time parent
- TANF recipient, or TANF qualified
- Employed or have pending employment
