Planned Giving

“CCLC personifies the slogan Help that Works. They provide excellent services to people in need, so I want to remember them in my will.” – Mary Ann Palermo

By including Catholic Charities of Livingston County in your will or estate plans, you can enjoy tax benefits and help sustain our work for generations to come. The most common type of planned gift is a bequest. This is where you set aside a stated amount, a specific asset, or a percentage of your estate. This type of gift can be easily arranged through your attorney. The terms of the gift can be changed at any time by an amendment to your will.

Your estate may benefit significantly from the charitable deduction, while at the same time giving a benefit to others. Making a gift demonstrates a profound sense of caring and a spirit of generosity. It encourages a tradition of giving, a family philanthropy, which continues to future generations.

The wording of a bequest in your will can be as simple as the following:

I hereby bequeath the sum of ________/ or _______% of my estate to Catholic Charities of Livingston County, 34 East State Street, ,Mt. Morris NY 14510.
